Unfortunately we had to utilize this website this weekend. 24 hours after the fact. Dried. Skip to step 2.

2. Mix a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water in a jug or other container. Pour a small amount of this solution over the area of cat urine...Blot.

3. Sprinkle a good handful of baking soda over the stain.

4. Mix a quarter of a cup of hydrogen peroxide with a teaspoon of dishwashing detergent and drizzle it over the area where you have sprinkled the baking powder and work it in using your fingers (wear rubber gloves) or a brush. Leave it to work for 15 minutes then begin blotting again.
If you don't have hydrogen peroxide on hand you could substitute it in an emergency for a spray laundry stain remover.

***I used Resolve Carpet Stain Remover with Oxy***

5. When the mattress is dry vacuum thoroughly.Use a hard bristled brush to loosen up the baking soda if necessary.

***I used my Dyson DC25 and the Stubborn Dirt Brush. I then used the Zorb cleaner and used the Stubborn Dirt Brush again. No more smell!***

With a mattress it is very important to make sure it is thoroughly dry...***I kept the window open and turned my Dyson AM01 directly on it***
